A file size limit?
Let’s try.

Choose 100, 200, 500 KB or a custom limit. We look for a smaller file by adjusting quality and, when needed, dimensions.

JPG, PNG or WebP · up to 15 files · 25 MiB each

Your files stay on your device. Always.

Make a photo smaller for an online form

Some forms reject images above a specific size. Enter the limit in KB and choose JPG or WebP. PixelSvelto first tries a lower quality, then reduces the pixel dimensions if needed. Results show the actual file size and final dimensions.

We use decimal KB: 200 KB means 200,000 bytes. This is slightly more conservative than 200 KiB, which means 204,800 bytes. Meeting the limit is not guaranteed for every image. If the attempt falls short, you will see a warning.

Check readability too

Reducing file size too far can make text or detail harder to read. Before submitting a document, open the downloaded image and check its readability. The tool does not guarantee compliance with identity document or official photo requirements. Always check the receiving service’s specifications.

FAQ

A few useful answers.

Quick answers before you start.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The application processes files directly in your browser. Images are not sent to a processing server, and downloads are generated on your device.

Is it really free?

Yes. No account or payment is needed to use the tools. Select up to 15 files at a time, up to 25 MiB each. Images above 32 megapixels are rejected. Your device may impose lower limits.

Why does a file sometimes get larger?

An already optimized image can become larger after re-encoding, changing formats or choosing high quality. We show actual output size and change. Try WebP or lower quality, and keep the original.

Do you support HEIC, animation and metadata?

We accept JPG, PNG and WebP. HEIC, GIF, SVG, PDF and RAW are not supported. Output is a re-encoded still image; original animation, layers, EXIF metadata and color profiles are not retained.

Is the 200 KB limit guaranteed?

The tool tries by reducing quality and, when needed, dimensions. It warns you if the target is not reached. Always check the actual size, readability and the receiving website’s requirements.
